I slept from 2 to about 5 plus this afternoon. Then woke up feeling horrible about myself. Don't you feel that sometimes why just can't you not sleep so long. Or not eat so much. Or not complete your work planned? Then was complaining that my friend refuse to talk to me (to give me time to concentrate on my work, I understand really) Then I have to cancel a planned event with some of my friends because of the circumstances. Then I was suppose to be at somewhere in the early afternoon and have to rush out of the house to get stuff done. Then a msg coming from my friend's question on assignments. Then left the house with my mum's scolding. There are some moments in life where you just break down. Where you can't seem to take other's expectations on you or your own expectations on yourself with your own strenght anymore. There are moments where you realise that's not the way you want to live your life. Life should be live to the fullest. With passion and vigour. Embracing things that mean the most to you. With integrity and purpose.
I think it is those times where God take these opportunities to draw me closer to Him. To remind me that live is in His hands. God has a wonderful plan for my life, plans to prosper me and not to harm me. To give me a hope and a future. I don't know who holds tomorrow but I live from day to day. Many things about tomorrow I don't seem to understand. But I know He holds tomorrow and I know He holds my hand.
I really found a sense of belonging and warmth in the big cell group cum young adults gathering today. I think I now know where I want to be. To grow up as a young adult in YA. Where there are people that really know you, where they are really concern for you and to build you up. This is where I want to be.
Today, we had this activity where we're suppose to associate a colour with each person in our group of 6 or 7. Then mention about the strengths in that person. The colours I was associated with somehow are not really plain. Shuan - Orange (more open and friendly nowadays) Ryan - Magenta (transitional stage, from being mysterious to being more open) Pastor Edwin beg to differ - Orange-amber (still very cautious and hard to predict. Sometimes may turn green, sometimes may turn red) Qi Hui - light purple Ee Liang - pink Ruth - can't remember, but something about elegance haha :P
I think I appear very differently to different people. Like take Colin and Constance, they give me colours like baby blue and purple respectively. Say I'm very girl and demure (Come on.. must ask Isabel how I fared as an Ah Lian. haha. Hey, you may claimed it's just an act, but it also is a part of me too)
Actually, I feel complimented by what Ruth said. She said that she likes to talk to people that are a little mysterious rather than those more simple-minded ones. It's like when I talk to her, we both know what's that the conversation is. But we're just relating it to our deeper intended problems we are facing without actually knowing each other's problems. Just touching the tip of the surface without sharing what is deep down. Sometimes I do talk like that to people too. But I'm learning to be more open I hoped. I will strive to be. :) and look at my blog entries. They are improving!
Yar, this meeting was supposed to be a farewell thing for Joshua. I think it took a lot of courage and guts on JW part to attempt to end the bad conflict between them. It's admirable JW! And to Josh, really, we've grown up with him in one way or another and though he may be irritating and a pain in the neck at times, I do think he has a genuine heart. I think our whole cell group, in our own little ways, will miss him.
